Bhavesh has dedicated more than 30 years to advancing the massage profession, transforming the London School of Massage from a small training centre into one of the UK’s most respected providers of Complementary and Sports Massage education. Since founding the school in 1994, he has helped more than 30,000 students from the UK and around the world gain the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to build rewarding careers in bodywork.
A qualified Osteopath, Bhavesh graduated from the British School of Osteopathy and has spent over three decades combining clinical practice with teaching. Throughout his career he has held a number of senior academic and clinical appointments, including Clinical Director and Senior Lecturer at the College of Osteopaths, Senior Lecturer in Applied Anatomy and Clinical Supervisor at the London School of Osteopathy, and Demonstrator in Anatomy at the British School of Osteopathy, where he taught osteopathic students at the Royal College of Surgeons.
His passion for continual learning has led him to qualify as an Assessor, Internal Verifier, NLP Practitioner and Traditional Chinese Acupuncturist, alongside specialist training in Ayurvedic massage techniques in Central and South India. This breadth of knowledge allows him to present complex subjects in a clear, practical and engaging way that students can immediately apply in clinical practice.
Known for his forward-thinking approach, Bhavesh introduced one of the UK’s first Fast Track and Intensive massage training programmes in 1994, enabling students to qualify more quickly while maintaining high educational standards. The model proved so successful that it has since been adopted by training providers across the country. His contribution to the profession has also been recognised internationally through his work as a judge at massage championships around the world and his appointment as Vice President (Europe) of the World Massage Federation.
Alongside his teaching, Bhavesh co-authored Secrets of Massage, has collaborated on research and product development projects within the wellness industry, and has delivered specialist training internationally, including work with sports therapists supporting Olympic athletes in India. He is also the driving force behind the UK Massage Championship, helping to celebrate excellence and raise professional standards throughout the industry.
Above all, Bhavesh is passionate about helping others fulfil their potential. Whether teaching anatomy, mentoring new therapists or creating opportunities for graduates to grow successful practices, he remains committed to raising standards, encouraging lifelong learning and inspiring the next generation of massage professionals.
Bhavesh is delighted to bring Kinetic Chain Release™ (KCR) into the London School of Massage curriculum, offering students another highly effective and evidence-informed approach to helping clients move more freely and live with less pain.”
