FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When can I start using KCR?

When you have completed the KCR Level 1 course and are fully insured (as outlined on the course) you can offer KCR to your clients.

Can I add other techniques into KCR?

No. KCR must always be performed, as taught, in its entirety to facilitate the full potential of this Gold Standard Protocol. Of course – once used – as an assessment and treatment tool – KCR fits beautifully into any bodywork modality. NB – any deviation from the Protocol will invalidate insurance.

How soon can I take the next level courses?

There is no required wait period so you can take the next scheduled course Introduction to Connective Tissue. Once this course has been completed then you may progress up the Pathway to Bodywork Mastery as you choose.

I have no previous (bodywork) experience, can I take the class?

Yes, the KCR Level 1 course is designed to accommodate beginners and  experienced practitioners alike.

Do I need A&P Anatomy and Physiology to practice KCR?

No,  KCR training is specifically designed for ease of use for anybody without prior bodywork knowledge or skills. Everything you need to know will be taught in the class. It is a deliberately simple protocol.

Can I take the course if I am pregnant?

Yes, however you must inform us in advance by email to info@kineticchainrelease.com and remind the instructors upon arrival at your class. You will be able to perform the techniques but not have them performed on you.

What do I need to bring and wear for the class?

Please bring pen and paper but do not permit electronic devices to be used in class. Wear loose comfortable clothing such as exercise wear. Denim jeans and dresses are not suitable.

Is lunch provided?

Is KCR good for sciatic nerve pain and sciatica?

KCR returns the body to a balanced state and takes the pressure off the sciatic nerve often greatly relieving pain and discomfort in one or two sessions.

Does KCR correct an apparent Leg Length Discrepancy?

Once the body has been returned to a balanced state with the full KCR protocol, the leg length will generally equalise. The client is checked for an apparent Leg Length Discrepancy at the beginning and end of the KCR session.

Can KCR help with Repetitive Strain Injuries? (RSI)

When the entire KCR protocol is performed on a person, the joints are left in a mobilized state which in turns often relieves the discomfort of a Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI).

Why is the entire KCR protocol done in a session rather than focusing on the area of discomfort?

KCR is based on a holistic approach to working with the body. To eliminate any underlying issues or causes of discomfort in any specific area of the body the entire protocol is done in each session.  This is because everything is connected and impacts on everything else within the body.

What organizations recognize KCR as an accredited course and award CPD points?

All KCR courses are fully accredited with IPHM (International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine) and KCR Academy is a recognised Training Provider in the UK.

KCR Level 1 is also recognised as an accredited course (15 points) with NCBTMB in the USA.

How does KCR blend with other treatment methods such as Massage?

KCR is an extremely effective method of preparing the body for Massage work or any other bodywork.  KCR returns the body to a balanced state enabling the Therapist to work much more effectively with other modalities.
